LAKE Chapel on the campus of Shebbear College was lit up by the glow from hundreds of candles at a special carol service on December 13.

The congregation at the candlelit carol service, consisting of parents, pupils and staff, were in fine voice, and were backed by the lower and senior school choirs.

The bidding prayer and Christmas message were given by the school's stand-in chaplain Tim Aldridge. Bible readings were given by junior school pupil Connie Gillies, Lower school pupil Nadia Blaskiewicz, teacher Judith Aliberti, middle school student Sam Westlake, sixth form student Charles Kent and headmaster Bob Barnes.
