PEOPLE with cake-baking abilities, good organisational skills or the generosity to donate some prizes are being asked to consider helping in a summer fete next month.

Two colleagues at West Devon insurance brokers firm TH March, Venetia Morrison and Nat Staska, have organised the fete due to take place at the Moorland Garden Hotel in Yelverton on Sunday August 19 from 1pm to 5pm, to raise money for the Children's Hospice South West, after Nat's son died from a terminal illness.

Nat said: 'It is a personal challenge for me to raise as much money as possible for Children's Hospice South West because my family and I have experienced first hand the incredible, life-changing work of children's hospices.'

The pair are now hoping that people will come forward to donate their time, organisational skills, items for sale, cakes and prizes.

In particular they would like to hear from children's entertainers and anyone offering the use of a bouncy castle or other suitable games and activities.

Anyone who would like more information or would like to help can contact Nat by emailing [email protected]">[email protected]
