AFTER the success of turning 91-year-old Mona Cook into a runway model, The Red House Residential Home in Yelverton is hoping to make another resident's dream come true.

The Red House 'Wishing Well' was established for everyone who lives at the home. It enables all residents to write down their 'one wish' — a wish is then plucked from the well and their dream is brought to life.

A few months ago it was the turn of Mona, who wished to model in a 'gorgeous' outfit walking down the catwalk with a male model to escort her. Mona's dream came true when she was asked to launch a charity fashion show in aid of St Luke's Hospice and Help for Heroes on Friday, June 26, organised by St Andrew's WI in Whitchurch. She was escorted by a warrant officer in the Royal Navy.

Wish number two is by a woman at the home who said she would love to experience the thrill of a parachute jump.

Nikki Challinor, the home's care manager, said: 'We understand that the actual jump may not be a possibility but perhaps a trip to see the plane take off or to be at the landing site and just to experience the atmosphere surrounding a jump.

'Most of us have a dream or a wish we would love to fulfil. Maybe you could help us make someone else's wish come true.

'Is there anyone out there who is connected with or knows someone who is connected with a parachute club? We would love to hear from you.'

Anyone who can help should call Nikki on 01822 854376.
