OKEHAMPTON'S happy snappers are back from their summer break and looking forward to welcoming fellow photographers.
The Okehampton Camera Club is due to reconvene for the 2008/2009 season at 7.30pm on Monday, September 8. Due to expanding membership, the club will now meet at the Church Hall on Market Street in Okehampton.
Publicity officer Tracey Norman said: 'The first meeting of the season is a chance to catch up with what everyone has been doing over the summer.
'There will also be a demonstration of some new projection equipment we've purchased, plus an opportunity to view the top images from our 2008 Photographer of the Year competition.
'I would strongly urge anyone who is interested in photography to come along — we are very fortunate in having some extremely talented and experienced photographers in our membership, and they are always happy to give of both their time and their knowledge.
'We are a growing club and are always delighted to see new members.'
The camera club meets fortnightly on Mondays and new members are always very welcome.
