Other results to highlight from the club were an excellent performance from Michael Jope in the pairs, where Michael made a creditable second place.
In the U18's pair, a similar result of second was achieved by Sam North. Sam is also the men's gig captain!
l Calstock Rowing Club was entered for the gruelling Eddystone Challenge on Saturday and was represented by the ladies' crew. The race is to Eddystone Lighthouse and back, but due to the inclement weather, the course was changed to a row up the river to Cargreen, and back. Still a gruelling 20miles! The ladies also finished in the event.
In addition two of Calstock Residents entered the race in Kayaks. Adam Maunder and Graham Reddel completed the course, with Graham finishing first, and Adam second.
All further boats were towed in due to the deteriorating weather, so these two were the only finishers!
