It opened with both sides contesting for the ball, and where one side would fail in one area they would peak in another. Roseland opened the scoreing with a number of tries in the first half. Callington managed to score through prop John Spencer after having a series of tries denied to them. This was not converted. The second half saw Roseland run in a number of tries to further their lead before Callington scored their second through fly-half Gareth Wainmouth, who duly convert it.
