HORRABRIDGE Parish Council is pressing for more police presence to tackle the continuing problems of disorderly teenagers and vandalism.

The matter has been taken up by West Devon and Torridge MP John Burnett, who has written to the police. The council has been told by the police that they will try to visit the area whenever possible.

Councillor Jane Waterhouse said that teenagers were sheltering in the telephone kiosk and bus shelter in Chapel Lane and were noisy and unruly and sometimes destructive.

'We write and write to the police, but we never see them, there are no police on the ground,' said Cllr Waterhouse
