WEST Devon Citizen's Advice Bureau is encouraging people to come forward and take advantage of the last two weeks of project funding for the 'Money Works Ahead' project.

Funded by the Greater Dartmoor Leaf and encompassing funding from the EU, DEFRA and Leader, the project has extended the CAB's opening hours to enable local people to get help sorting out their finances so that they are in a position to take up work training or other opportunities.

Development officer for the charity Mandy Kenyon said: 'If you are not sure whether going back to work or increasing your hours will improve your families' finances, then call into the CAB and we will help you to work this out. So many people are unsure of where they stand with tax credits and other benefits that they simply don't know if it's worth finding employment.'

l West Devon CAB is open in Tavistock at Kingdon House on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am until 2pm and in Okehampton at the Ockment Centre on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am until 2pm.
