A NAKED calendar is soon to go on sale in Okehampton to help raise money for charity.

The King's Arms Uncovered is a double-sided naked calendar in support of sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

The calendar has been put together by the King's Arms and DJ from Rumours nightclub, Mark Ammear.

Emma Bass, who se husband is landlord of the King's Arms and suffers from MS, said: 'My husband is in pain every day and suffers in silence.

'There is nothing he can do to relieve it and he is constantly tired.

'He suffers from muscle tremors, along with having to face the fact it may one day get worse and he could end up in a wheelchair or worse.

'He puts on such a brave face and I do not realise sometimes how much he is suffering and I am not as sympathetic as I should be, but he is my hero.'

DJ from Rumours, Mark Ammear, who also helped organise the calendar, expressed thanks to all who took part: 'It took such great courage for everyone who took part to do this and without them there would be no calendar.'

Anyone who wants to support MS Research can purchase the calendar from the King's Arms from Tuesday, October 13, at a cost of £8.
