FOUR advisers were last week awarded certificates by West Devon Citizens Advice Bureau. Christine Coles, Jenny Roe, Dinah Dunford, and Julie Yelland each received a certificate in ?Generalist Advice? at the annual general meeting of CAB which was held at Jethro?s at Lewdown last Wednesday . A speaker from Exbourne community shop and cafe also attended the meeting to talk about their project. The Citizen?s Advice Bureau is currently very concerned about the future of rural post offices and the impact that their closure could have on its clients across West Devon. Mandy Kenyon, CAB development officer, said: ?We thought that inviting a local speaker who could give a positive message about the importance of local services would be a good thing.? Les Stocker and Rodney Glanville also gained certificates in generalist advice in the last year, but were unable to attend the meeting.
