RENDELLS of Chagford have a busy forthcoming autumn of sales planned at Chagford Market, including a special sale of poultry on Saturday September 24.

The sale is the first of its kind to ever take place at the market, with a number of breeds already entered in for the sale, including Light Sussex, Goldline, Orpingtons, Rhode Island Red, Araucana, La Fleche and Marans. There will also be Guinea Fowl and Aylesbury ducks on sale.

The poultry sale is going to be combined with a collective sale of two vintage tractors, and various bygone farming machinery and equipment. Rendells are still accepting and expecting further entries into the auction.

Other sales planned at the market include the second Store Cattle Sale on Thursday October 6, the annual Dartmoor Pony Sale on Thursday October 13, the Show and Sale of Suckled Calves to include third store cattle sale on Thursday November 24, and due to demand following a successful sale last year, a collective machinery sale on Saturday November 26.
