THE news is all good from Okehampton's Fairplace Church, as members continue to support various projects both here and abroad.
The church has reported a 'wonderful' summer of fundraising events. Cream teas, lunches and coffee mornings have raised more than £2,000 which is all set to be distributed between cancer research, the Shoe Box Appeal, the Karibuni Trust in Kenya, Diabetes UK and the church itself.
This week also saw the church celebrate the harvest with a special service, a harvest supper and a produce sale. The church is also supporting the Okehampton Foodbank, which will launch in October, by donating its harvest tins and packets to them.
