BUSINESS owners across West Devon are being offered the chance to showcase their products and services at a new expo later this month.
West Devon Means Business will be holding its first enterprise expo on Wednesday, September 26 in Tavistock thanks to the town's BID manager, Adam Fleet, who wants to get the message out that West Devon is a great place to do business.
Adam said: 'There are hundreds of established and emerging businesses working across West Devon, yet many people do not even know they are there.
'By holding this enterprise expo we want to show customers, partners and competitors of these businesses that there is a thriving and vibrant trading community outside of the region's big cities.'
The first Enterprise Expo will be held at Tavistock Town Hall and will play host to a wealth of exhibitors and guest speakers who aim to put West Devon firmly on the business map.
Small businesses are often hailed 'the lifeblood of the UK economy' and it is these businesses that are being relied upon to drive economic recovery.
With 95 percent of private sector businesses employing less than 20 people and being classed as a small business, this Expo is looking to highlight the important role they play in the economic prosperity of the West Country.
West Devon is the largest district in Devon and is home to more than 2,500 businesses of varying sizes.
Adam said: 'We have already secured a number of exhibitors and keynote speakers, including Francis Clark, Devon Renaissance and Fireproof pr and anybody wishing to take a stand at the Expo should register their interest by emailing [email protected]">[email protected]
