Okehampton RFC U14s 52
Crediton U14s 0
OKEHAMPTON kicked off on a cold, clear morning down by the all weather pitch, and within minutes Josh Bush went over for a try, although Liam Wilkins narrowly missed the conversion.
Shortly afterwards Paul Penberthy gathered the bouncing ball, from his own kick, and pushed the Crediton full back out of his way before grounding the ball for Okehampton's second try. Again the conversion was narrowly missed.
Just minutes later and Bush went over for his second try of the game, and despite the difficult angle, Wilkins converted with a superb kick.
The action was now all one way, and it wasn't long before winger Alex Arthurs raced round under the posts to put the ball down, and Wilkins duly converted.
Okehampton finished the half strongly with Penberthy getting his second try of the game. He also ran round under the posts to assist Wilkins with the conversion.
Although Okehampton were able to finish the half 31-0, an incident left second row John Malseed in some distress, and he had to be substituted by Jack Thomas.
Crediton had also suffered a couple of injuries, and Archie Embling and Freddie Eggleton sportingly donned black shirts at the start of the second half.
The Okes continued to dominate with Arthurs getting two tries in quick succession, the first of which saw him run nearly the full length of the pitch, before putting the ball down under the posts. Wilkins successfully converted both.
Arthurs was then rested, and Embling swapped back to the home side.
Luke Dennis finished off a great team performance with a try under the posts, which Wilkins converted, before the referee called time.
