BERE Ferrers Villagers' Group recently held its general meeting in the church hall which focused on many local issues.
From a report on the recreation field and a concessionary bus scheme, to the Kilbride Community Rail Provisional timetable, 22 people were present at the meeting to air their views.
People were reminded that lifts were available to the surgery in Bere Alston for villagers experiencing difficulty in keeping appointments and obtaining prescriptions due to no longer having a weekly surgery in Bere Ferrers and with only one bus daily from Tavistock via Bere Aston.
Cllr Lamb reported that West Devon Borough Council was considering the concessionary bus scheme and how Bere Ferrers' residents could be included.
Following a previous meeting held in Bere Ferrers when villagers expressed concerns regarding Kilbride Community Rail, Cllr Brian Lamb, Cllr Bev Slaughter and Clive Charlton, chairman of the Tamar Line Forum met Peter Frost manager director, who discussed the Tavistock Rail Link provisional timetable.
Mr Frost was made aware of concerns and possible problems and flaws in the plans.
The next fundraising event will be the annual duck race from the quay on Saturday, September 5 where cream teas will be available.
