TWO people were taken to hospital last week following a road accident outside the Dartmoor Diner on the A386, the gateway to Roborough Common. The accident happened around 5.40pm on December 5, when a number 86 double-decker First Bus was in collision with a car during busy rush hour traffic. A man, the driver of the car, and a woman bus passenger, were taken to Derriford Hospital by ambulance, while other people were treated for shock. An ambulance crew treated two other people at the scene for minor injuries. PC Dave Cross, from Tavistock police station who was on the scene helping to control traffic, said: ?It was very lucky that there were no fatalities.? Being rush hour the traffic delays were severe and it was not until 8.30pm that both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
