MEADOWLANDS Leisure Pool in Tavistock has been closed to the public since Monday due to technical issues.

The pool had been temporarily closed to ensure the health and safety of its customers.

A spokesperson from Meadowlands said: ‘We believe it to be a burst pipe that is linked to the plant room that is affecting the water pressure, which is affecting the water temperature, making it too cold for the public.’

Maintenance engineers were on site during the week and were looking to rectify the issue as quickly as they possibly could.

As the Times went to press, the swimming pool was due to be re-opened today (Thursday).
