WEST Devon and Torridge MP John Burnett has lent his support to North Tawton youngsters who want to set up a skate park and roller-blading area in Barton Road, North Tawton.
The youngsters have been helped by two youth workers to produce a proposed site plan.
Mr Burnett believes that giving the young people designated ramps and facilities for skating will mean they do not have to use the town square to practice their sport.
Mr Burnett said North Tawton was an area with a rapidly growing population and it was important that facilities are provided for young people there.
