THERE is an opportunity to buy a variety of books at a special charity sale being organised by a Bere Alston fundraising group this week. The Hair Bare Bunch have been raising money for Cancer Research UK and the Bristol Special Care Baby Unit for several months now, and their latest event has been the May Day Appeal. Stephanie Molyneux said she has raised £328 by selling prize draw tickets for £100 worth of books throughout May ? now she is holding special sales of books to try and reach her £500 target. The Usbourne books are being sold at the Devonshire Racket Club at Derriford, between 11am and 3pm tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday. All books are under £5 and the club is also offering free one-day health club trials, provided they are booked in advance. Ten per cent of books sold will be donated to the charities ? books are also being donated to the special care baby unit.
