WITH over 3,000 books in stock, plus many hundreds of collectable records — both vinyl and CD — Tavistock Area Support Services (TASS) is banking on a bumper book sale on March 30 and 31.

The event will take place at the Anchorage Area Support Services (TASS), which is next to Tavistock Bus Station, between 10am and 2pm on both days. Admission is free.

Friends of TASS co-ordinator Bryan Podmore said: 'Due to the continuing generosity of the residents of Tavistock and our surrounding villages we will be displaying a wonderful selection of books and records.

'This year we have expanded into the world of collectable music and have many sought after vinyl, CDs and musical scores for sale.

'Another first for us is the setting aside of a separate room at the Anchorage Centre to display our collection of antiquarian/collectable books so this might be a chance to beat eBay at the rare books game.'

Throughout the two days there will be a variety of 'bargain sales' such as two for one, starting with the opening hour when all hardback novels will be 'buy one get one free'.

All money raised at this TASS.
