I SEE that another building site has appeared in Okehampton. Once again in Exeter Road.
How sad it is that the green fields are disappearing and the landscape will be covered in yet more new houses. What about the wildlife that lives in those fields? Laburnum is being
demolished, did anyone check if bats live in the property?
I am sure the argument will be that the town needs to grow, however I understand that these will be expensive houses and what the town needs is low cost affordable housing for local people. Will the town?s infrastructure be able to cope?
The build will, I understand, take two years with all the disruption that is involved for people living and working nearby.
Who will benefit?
Can anyone answer my question?
