BUCKLAND Monachorum swimmer Emma Bennett has been selected to attend the South West region Active Sports Talent Camp this weekend in a location familiar to her - Millfield School.
Emma, aged 13, attends Plymouth High School and is a member of Plymouth Leander Swimming Club.
She took up swimming five years ago and has already clocked up 18 visits to Millfield's pool, the most recent the Western Counties Championships earlier this month.
Emma trains almost 20 hours a week - 14 in the pool, three gym training and two weight training.
She is Devon's breaststroke champion and a member of the Leander team that won the inter-county championships.
The talent camp will cater for more than 1,000 talented youngsters in nine sports and has 500 support staff. Emma will have the chance to work with top coaches during two days of advanced training.
