THE Tavonians Theatre Company has plans for a unique Shakespeare production in the spring and summer next year.
A Caper through Shakespeare will be a mix of individual scenes from plays and sonnets, plus music and dancing, juggling and acrobatics. It could incorporate works about Shakespeare as well as those by him.
The production will be created by those who are involved in it — so the Tavonians are now seeking writers, directors, actors, musicians and other performers.
There will be a meeting for all the ideas to come together on Tuesday November 1 at 7.30pm, in the Guide Hall at the entrance to Bedford Car Park.
The performances will be part of the Tavistock Festival in April next year and it is hoped it will be performed in the gardens at Buckland Abbey in the early summer. In June a part of the production will be taken to the Hall for Cornwall as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company's Open Stages project, which brings the RSC and amateur theatre together in a series of workshops and productions.
