NEWSREADER Angela Rippon has become the new patron of Tavistock Area Support Services. Ms Rippon said that TASS really lived up to its name. Ms Rippon said: ?It?s there for people in the Tavistock area, it provides invaluable support to individuals and their families, and the service is first class. ?We?re really lucky to have such a terrific group of professionals and volunteers working in the community.? Andy Lyle, general manager of TASS, said: ?To have Ms Rippon as our patron is wonderful and we appreciate the support she has given to the charity, helping us make a difference to local people over 55.?
