CALLINGTON and Gunnislake are being targetted in a new marketing campaign to encourage businesses to adopt broadband technology. The Cornwall Enterprise-led partnership 'actnow' has identified the two towns, along with eight other towns and villages in South East Cornwall, as 'Broadband Priority Zones', where the take up of broadband among businesses is lower than average. The actnow project is funded by the Rural Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Partnership. Manager Bill Holliday said: 'We want to make sure that every single business in rural areas of Cornwall has the chance to benefit from broadband. The benefits to rural businesses are immense including saving time and money as well as opening up new markets.' Rebates of at least £60 on broadband costs are available to self employed people and businesses in the priority zones until the end of March. For information call Tim Johnson on 0800 800 935.
