WITH a cast in place and rehearsals well underway, Blackadder will be coming to North Tawton this October, thanks to the actors of North Tawton.
The amateur dramatic group will perform three episodes from the classic comedy series Blackadder II, with a running time of 90 minutes with two 15 minute intervals.
The group will be performing directly from the original BBC scripts by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, overcoming the challenges of adapting the television production to stage.
Director Nigel Davies said: 'It is very exciting to re-create something that is so familiar to so many people, and the blend of the cast fits perfectly with the image of the BBC production.
'Rehearsals are great fun as we rediscover some of those fabulous lines that many of us have been quoting for years.'
Tickets are available now from North Tawton Post Office costing £6 for adults and £4 for those aged 15 and under.
The scripts are being performed as written, with the original shows broadcast after the 9 o'clock watershed.
