People living in the Lifton area now have their own dedicated West Devon Borough Council drop-in ?surgery? to help them take up scores of services that they might be unaware of. Every other Wednesday, a customer service adviser from the borough council will be available to help residents from Lifton and the surrounding area at the Lyd Room, in the Arundell Arms, from 9.30am to noon. Partner organisations and Lifton Cllr Donald Horn will also be available on certain dates to deal with local issues and concerns. Cllr Horn will be joining the customer service adviser at the next Lifton session on Wednesday August 15. On Wednesday September 26, the Environment Agency will be available to give advice and information on how to reduce the risk of flooding to properties. Cllr Horn will also be attending. On Wednesday October 10, Devon?s Energy Efficiency Advice team will be handing out free energy saving light bulbs at the surgery and on Wednesday October 24, the Council for Voluntary Services (CVS) and Cllr Horn will join the surgery.
