TWO Tavistock ladies took the plunge to dive 15,000 feet from a plane in celebration of their milestone birthdays this year.

Tracey Allen, who turns 50 on Christmas Eve, and her niece Charlotte Sloman, who recently turned 21, took to the skies at Dunkerswell Airfield, Honiton to each do a sky dive to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice South West.

Tracey said: ‘We decided to do the sky dive as we both have big birthdays this year. We chose St Luke’s as our charity as we both know people who have been helped by St Luke’s and they do such an amazing job we felt it would be nice to raise some money for this brilliant charity.

‘We both absolutely loved the experience, it was amazing and great fun.’

Between them, Tracey and Charlotte raised just over £2,700 with donations still coming in.
