A TAVISTOCK resident will be cycling more than 100 miles with her law firm colleagues in a bid to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance tomorrow (Friday).

Solicitor Kate Ayland and colleagues from Coodes Solicitors will be cycling 115 miles from their Holsworthy office and stopping off at each of their other branches at Launceston, Liskeard, St Austell, Newquay, Truro, finishing at the Penzance office.

It costs around £1,700 per mission to send the air ambulance up, totalling approximately £2-million a year just to keep it flying and it receives no funding from Central Government for emergency missions.

The Coodes team will include partner Colin Hunter, solicitors Kate Ayland and David Williams, chartered legal executive Jo Morgan and personal assistant Susan Reynolds.

Kate said: 'This will be a tough one-day challenge from Devon to the tip of Cornwall. The team will be arriving at each office where volunteers from each office will be there to support us.

'We have all been in training for some time and are looking forward to the challenge.'

Coodes is proud to be supporting Devon Air Ambulance Trust, which has been nominated as the firm's charity of the year. Coodes managing partner Jeremy Harvey said: 'We're thrilled to be supporting the Devon Air Ambulance this year. The charity provides a vital service in helping to save time and lives in Devon and we feel they deserve our help.'

Anyone who would like to support the team can do so by texting 'COOD85 £2' to 70070 to donate £2 to the charity. If you would like to donate more, visit http://www.justgiving.com/Coodes-Solicitors">www.justgiving.com/Coodes-Solicitors
