WEST Devon farming town Hatherleigh comes under the spotlight next week when it is the subject of a television documentary.

'Don't Stop the Carnival' is a week in the life of Hatherleigh.

The film concentrates on how the agricultural crisis has affected the town.

Film producer, John Mair, said Hatherleigh came to their attention because of its much publicised boycott of French produce.

Don't Stop the Carnival is on Close Up on BBC2 next Thursday, December 9, at 7.30pm.
