A YOUNG farmer with Bow YFC has been lucky enough to win a travel scholarship through the National and Devon Federation of Young Farmers Clubs. 

In June, Alice Giles will be traveling to Washington DC to join a welcome weekend with the International Farming Youth Exchange, and then travel to a host state, which is yet to be confirmed, where she will stay with different families for three months, to learn about their lives and their way of farming.

Alice is extremely excited and grateful to be given these opportunities, however unlike other scholarships it does not have any funding that the members can access, so Alice is hosting a fun quiz evening on Friday, April 8 with fellow scholarship winner Georgina Davie of Newton St Cyres YFC to help raise the funds they need to fulfil the scholarship.
