DESPITE heavy showers and wind this year's ladies Christmas Bottle Trot at Tavistock Golf club attracted a large field. This year the competition was played over 12 holes so players could finish in daylight! 

The winning team of Shirley Trevena, Pat Wylie and Teresa Hughes scored 56 points, second with 51pts were Marion Stenhouse, Pat Hoar and Sam Avens.  In third place were Kerry Baker, Nicky Gawman and Jayne Wright with 50 pts.

The monthly medal was played in conjunction with the Wycisk Cup.  In diivision one Dawn Phillott had an excellent nett 70, second with nett 76 was Patty Congo on countback from Shirley Trevena, Bridget Luckham and Jayne Wright.  In division two first was Teresa Hughes with nett 76 and second was Helen Phipps with a nett 78.   Winner of the cup was Teresa Hughes.

In the men's Luxton Stableford Dave Burge in division one had 38pts, second Jim Grant 36pts and, in third place, Mike Henderson with 35pts.  Pete Stankevitch was first in division two with 35pts, second was Steve Fowler 33pts on countback from Paul Congo.  With 33pts David Byles topped divison three, second was Nigel Scott on 32pts on countback from Pete Kelly, John Harris and David Poole. 

In the Moorland Links medal in division one first was Phil Eastham nett 68, second Mike Henderson nett 70 and third with nett 71 Brian Manhire. Dave Symons was first in division two with a nett 69 on countback from Mark Sloman, third was Dan Pratley with nett 71.

In the men's veterans George Bailey Trophy this year's winner was David Willans who was first in division two with 41pts, second Ian Gasper with 40 pts and third was Frank Lawrence with 39 pts.  In division one Rama Nand-Lal, with 38pts, was first, second John Thewlis with 37 pts on countback from Ken Hawkins.
