He said: 'It's great that the county council has agreed to support us in our efforts to upgrade our facilities.
'The Clubhouse is a vital part of Tavistock Rugby Club and is used by all our members and visiting teams. A major part of the upgrade will be the replacement of our boiler system to ensure that the clubhouse and changing rooms are fully operational next season.
Cllr Sellis said: ' am delighted to be able to support the rugby club which benefits so many people in the town, both young and old — the junior section alone supports ten squads.
'TRFC is incredibly pro-active in raising their own funds through local fund raising, so it is great to be able to provide a boost to the funding people have raised locally.'
