THERE'S an opportunity to meet an author who has just published her first novel — at the age of 74 — at Lewtrenchard Manor next month.

Patricia Olds, formerly of Callington, will be signing copies of her book, 1831: Charlotte Treleaven Comes of Age in the library at Lewtrenchard from 10.30am on April 2, with a 'meet the author' session at 2pm.

Patricia was first a teacher and then worked in the newspaper industry. She is now working on her second novel.
