BOOKS on Wheels is a partnership between the Devon Library service and the WRVS. It aims to deliver books, tapes etc to people who are housebound and who cannot get to a library.
Volunteers (two people, friends or a husband and wife, one should be a driver with a car) are needed to deliver books in Okehampton itself.
I have been a Books on Wheels volunteer for just over a year, doing a rural round. Delivering Books on Wheels is a most worthwhile service and I would heartily recommend it to anyone who enjoys books and reading. It is a very rewarding way of sharing your enjoyment of and interest in books.
