A CHILDREN'S book written and created by a Tavistock couple is to be read out this Mother's Day on CBeebies.
Husband and wife Steve Wilson and Lucy Tapper launched their first book 'Hedgehugs' in January this year.
At 6.50pm Hedgehugs will be broadcast on CBeebies Bedtime Stories, read by Ben Faulks, the star of Mr Bloom's Nursery — adored by youngsters and their mums — appears on screen in his trademark wellies and trilby hat.
Steve, a TV presenter, and Lucy, an illustrator and writer, together run the popular online personalised business 'Lucy's World'.
Steve said: 'We are incredibly excited to have our book Hedgehugs read to a huge audience via CBeebies Bedtime Stories — we couldn't ask for a better way to share our story with so many people at once!
'This feels like coming full circle. Having started as a TV Presenter for CBBC, it feels right to be "coming home" to where my career began. We have more Hedgehugs products planned for the near future, including a new story in which another of life's mysteries is tackled by Horace and Hattie.'
