A BODY, believed to be that of missing nonagenarian Kelvin Osborne, was found early on Thursday October 21 behind the Molly Owen Centre on Pixon Lane, Tavistock.

Police believe the body is that of Mr Osborn from clothing and paperwork found at the scene, but a DNA test might be required for formal identification.

The body will be subject to a post-mortem examination, but police say they are not treating the death as suspicious.

Mr Osborne went missing more than three weeks ago from a residential home on the Plymouth Road. Search teams have scoured Dartmoor because, although in his 90s, Mr Osborne was a keen walker capable of covering a dozen or more miles a day.

The body was found behind the Molly Owen Centre by staff.
