A TWO-year-old Jack Russell terrier has been named the winner of the 2006 Braveheart Award by clients at Okeford Veterinary Centres in Okehampton and Chagford. Bob Littlejohns was involved in a traffic accident that resulted in fractures to both hips and pelvis. Bob received intensive orthopaedic reconstruction and his owners faced a long anxious wait to see if the nervous control of his basic functions was restored. The red letter day came when Bob decided to cock his leg for the first time since his accident! Bob and his owners, Martin and Sarah Littlejohns, said they were delighted to hear that Bob had been chosen to receive this award. They will be presented with an engraved silver photograph frame containing a picture of Bob painted by one of the vets at the practice, Olivia Hicks.
