PLOUGH Sunday was celebrated at St Andrew's Church in Sampford Courtenay last Sunday, during a special parish communion service for those who work the land.

The service saw the blessing of ploughs and seeds and at the end of the service the congregation processed to The Square.

The service concluded with the blessing of the tractors parked there, including a number of vintage machines.
