Challenge Bowl semi-final Tavistock 8 Old Suttonians 1 TAVISTOCK moved into the final with a comprehensive win. It took only five minutes for them to open their account. Hodges? free kick was met by the head of Gibson, who powered home from 12 yards. But within a minute Old Suttonians were back in the game after some slack defending to make the score level. Straight away Tavistock hit back ? Hamilton ran down the left with only the keeper to beat and calmly slotted past him. With only 15 minutes gone Tavistock extended their lead further through Blatchford, his shot finding the bottom left corner. Old Suttonians had two great chances of their own but they were both saved superbly by Williams in the Tavistock goal. Up the other end following a series of corners the ball fell to Gibson to volley in from 10 yards. With the half now coming to a close Tavistock extended their lead to five with Blatchford firing low into the bottom corner. The second half started in the same manner with Tavistock dominating. With Blatchford causing problems down the right, it was his cross that found Brockington eight yards out to smash home. Hoskins got on the scoresheet with Tavistock?s seventh, running through a static defence to fire low past the keeper. Blatchford rounded off the scoring with a right-footed shot from 16 yards to take his impressive tally to 47 goals. Tavistock are home on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.
