THE Bishop of Plymouth the Rt Rev John Ford spent a morning at Kelly College recently.
He attended the morning chapel service, during which he licenced the college's new chaplain, the Rev Richard Bache.
He also explained this process to students, saying that 'to licence was to give a person both freedom and authority to lead the church's ministry in a particular place'.
Bishop John also spoke in two sixth form religious studies lessons, addressing the issues of 'Life after Death' and 'Secularisation — A Christian View'.
Later in the day, Bishop John visited the dining hall for 'Thirsty Thursday,' where each week drinks are served to pupils by Tavistock's Catalyst youth team.
