THE DEVON and Cornwall Rail Partnership is celebrating the third birthday of an award winning discounted ticket scheme on the Tamar Valley Line with a special offer to customers. Books of Carnet rail tickets, valid up to the end of June, will be sold at half price as a thank you to regular customers and an opportunity for new customers to try the service. Carnet tickets are books of ten single discounted tickets for journeys on the Tamar Valley Line between Gunnislake and Plymouth. The scheme won recognition at two national rail awards. The tickets are only available at participating local shops and post offices, including Levine?s Post Office and Stores in Calstock where customers were treated to a birthday cake shaped like a book of Tamar Valley Carnet tickets on Monday.
