THE roar of massed motorbikes will be heard later this month, when a charity ride-out makes its way to West Devon in aid of the Chestnut Appeal.

The ride out has been organised by Plymouth Motorcycle Club and will take place on Saturday June 28.

The riders are due to meet at Lee Mill Industrial Estate near Plymouth at 2pm and will make their way in convoy to Tavistock, finishing their ride at Lamerton where a barbecue and social evening will take place. Camping facilities and a bar will be available.

All money raised by the ride-out will be donated to BBC Radio Devon?s Chestnut Appeal, which is raising money to establish a dedicated, state of the art unit at Derriford Hospital for the treatment of prostate cancer.

The ride out costs just a £1 minimum donation and the organisers hope as many bikers as possible will join the event.
