THANKS to the effort of members and valued support of the community, Belstone Ladies' Club raised the huge sum of £1,426 for charity last year.
The South West Children's Hospice has received £512.50 and other organisations to benefit are World Emergency Relief, the Stroke Association, British Heart Foundation and the drop-in centre for mothers and children at Tenby House, Okehampton.
A quiz in October raised £189 for the New Okehampton Hospital Appeal, which will be added to the proceeds from the annual ploughman's lunch to be held in Belstone Village Hall on March 12.
