TAVISTOCK U8s rugby team had a wonderful day, and the boys were so excited at the opportunity to play in front of a large crowd, prior to the main match — Launceston versus Coventry in National League One. They played two matches — the first a friendly won by Launceston, followed by an exhibition match. This was a wonderful match. The first half was a close game with fantastic defence from both sides, resulting in 0-0 score on the board. The second half saw the Tavistock team turn on the pressure, resulting in three outstanding tries — one by Ryan Brimacombe and two by Louie Cherrington, his second runaway try with only one boot on. The final score was 15-0 to Tavistock.
