TOP versus bottom of the league with Bere contriving to shoot themselves in the foot.

Top scorer Hann was injured with the first tackle of the game. A Crabb free kick opened the scoring.

Tregony replied immediately, after some poor defending Westlake restored Bere's lead but more poor defending resulted in Tregony equalising.

Westlake scored two quick replies for his hat-trick and Lee Brooks made it 5-2.

Controversial refereeing saw Westlake sent off after a tackle left him with a bad leg wound. More was to follow with Bere's keeper knocked to the ground, the ball rolling into the net and a goal given.

In the second half Bere made and missed a hatful of chances, and their inability to cope with the high, long ball meant Tregony came back to 5-4.

Sharrock chipped the keeper for 6-4 and Tregony made it 6-5, but Bere held on for three points.
