Palladium Builders East Cornwall Division One Bere Alston United 3 Callington Town 1 BERE kept in touch with Tavistock at the top of division one with a win over Callington. Chris Truscott hit home for Bere from a Zac Beesley cross to score at close range for the opener within the first five minutes. Callington responded through some good football movement when Mike Hancock headed in a cross which Craig Howells could not keep hold of. Adam Reid fired in a cracking strike off his chest to take Bere 2-1 up into half time. The second half saw great determination and hard graft from Bere as the wind picked up and the heavens opened with a hail storm. Bere had the extra bite and wrapped up the game with substitute Kev Blatchford whipping in a precision cross to find Chris Truscott?s head and the back of the net.
