MANY thanks to various friends, neighbours and complete strangers who have gone out of their way to help a 'doddery old lady' in Bere Alston during the last couple of months.
Firstly the young man who helped me home with my shopping, up the hill, although it was right out of his way.
Then, at a later date, my head made a spectacular rendezvous with the pavement between the surgery and pharmacy; Thank you for your help (and solicitous enquiries since) from nurses, the doctor, chemist staff and the kind gentleman car driver who summoned aid and then waited while I was receiving help, so that he could drive me home.
Bere Alston is a good place to live.
