FIFTEEN local models will be taking part in the Essence Style and Beauty Awards which will be launching its national tour at Tavistock Town Hall this Sunday.
They will join contestants from around the country including UK Hotlist models and 'Miss England' hopefuls who will be competing for prizes in several categories and judged on their grace, poise and elegance, confidence and charisma.
There will be a judging panel but the audience will get to vote for the overall winner. There will be entertainment including Just4Funk breakdancers and a performance from up and coming West Country singer Sophie Mendoza.
Doors open at 6pm and tickets, available from a variety of outlets in Tavistock including Lake's Chemist and Pillars newsagents, are priced at £12 or £25 for a VIP pass.
There is a £1,000 prize for the winners, which has been donated by UKHotlist.com
