Walkham Valley Cricket Club v
Carvel Computers
WALKHAMPTON Valley Cricket Club played host to Carvel Computers on Sunday, a team they narrowly lost to a couple of weeks ago.
Having won the toss, Walkham put Carvel into bat on a rain soaked wicket.
With no bounce on the wicket, Carvel found runs hard to come by and tight bowling by Walkham with Hills 3 overs for only 2 runs being the star bowler.
Carvel lost a total of 5 wickets, 2 run outs and Peers 2 wickets and Berry 1 wicket all falling to catches.
Carvel put on a total of 173 runs after 30 overs with Davies, Sweby and Jefferson their top scorers.
Walkham batsmen attacked the total with gusto and were soon on target for a comfortable win with Berry, Hills, Spreadbury C and Ralph all retiring after making 30 runs each.
Carvel then tightened up their bowling (Sharpe 2 wickets for 5 runs of 4 overs).
Walkham soon lost 4 wickets and were bogged down when Hills came in again with three overs remaining and, ably supported by Kay, soon hit 12 runs off four balls to win the match.
